Little League Constitution

The Spring baseball season is almost here and ECB is excited to have you as part of our organization in 2018! As you know ECB is in the process of becoming part of the Little League International organization. In order to finalize this move, ECB must adopt the Little League Constitution, which is a standard constitution for Little League and clearly defines our league’s operating procedures and keeps us in compliance with Little League International’s guidelines. The current bylaws must be repealed to conform with this standard constitution.

This Sunday, February 25, in conjunction with our 8U, 10U and 12U player evaluations (see schedule below), there will be a formal vote by written ballot to adopt the constitution. You may do this when you sign in for evaluations.  A Board Member of ECB will be present to answer any questions you may have. All parents of players 6U and up are encouraged to stop by PIT Field (behind Pittsboro Elementary School) and vote, regardless of league age and whether or not your player is participating in evaluations. A link to the proposed constitution is below for your review prior to evaluations.

Thank you for your continued support. Whether you are new to ECB, a longtime member, or even a “legacy” member who has been with us since our inception in 1971, we feel confident that with the continued growth of our league and the growth of Chatham County, becoming part of the Little League family best fits the needs of our area youth and offer more opportunities to our community and players. We look forward to seeing many of you Sunday.
